Using Texas-sized measurements, largemouth here are growing to semi-trophy proportions. The lake record is 14.67 pounds and 10-pounders are common. Crappie and blue catfish numbers are strong. Featured Species: Largemouth Bass, Blue Catfish and White Bass.
A two-sided freshwater lake map. Choke Canyon is a medium size lake located in the arid cactus country about 50 miles south of San Antonio. The lake has been a favorite location for many Texas black bass tournaments. Choke Canyon also holds an abundant supply of Crappie, White Bass and Catfish.
