An excellent forage base sustains marvelous growth rates for gamefish. Black bass are the anglers prime target with many double-digit weights reported, and largemouth in the 10-pound range are not unusual. White bass and crappie numbers are great. Featured Species: Largemouth Bass, White Bass (Sand Bass), Black Crappie, White Crappie, Channel Catfish and Blue Catfish.

A two-sided freshwater lake map with Richland-Chambers on one side and Fairfield on the other side. Richland-Chambers is a medium size freshwater lake located east of Interstate 45 at Corsicana. This lake holds Black Bass, Crappie, White Bass and Catfish. About 10 miles to the southeast is the smaller Lake Fairfield. Lake Fairfield is a warm freshwater power plant lake. In addition to Black Bass, a bonus feature of Lake Fairfield is that it has been stocked with "freshwater redfish". Fairfield is an excellent winter fishing destination because of the warm water. Both lakes have GPS numbers for fishing spots, marinas, boat ramps, and other locations.
